AAMCI is happy to report that sponsored athlete Audrey McIntosh's Ultra Odyssey is progressing well in 2015. So far this year she has completed the North Pole Marathon running in extreme conditions where temperatures dropped to -41. She placed 4th lady in the event's closest ever women's race.
Two weeks later Audrey completed the Hoka Highland Fling finishing in 13:18:04 with a 42 minute personal best.
Then on June 21st and 22nd Audrey competed in the West Highland Way Race where she ran the gruelling 95 miles with 14,780 feet of ascent in 28:56, finishing 2nd lady within her age group.
Audrey is having an impressive year and hopes to continue to perform well in her remaining scheduled ultra-marathon events, The Devil O' the Highlands and the Glenmore 24 hour trail race, where she hopes to run 100 miles within the time.
AAMCI wishes Audrey every success. This partnership provides AAMCI with the opportunity to meet its CSR responsibility supporting a healthy life-style and sporting endeavour through an individual athlete, as well as Alzheimer Scotland (the company's chosen charity).
