The Queen's Baton Relay

On the 22nd of July 2014 Audrey had the honour of participating in the Queen's Baton Relay, carrying the baton towards Hampden Stadium and passing it to Gordon Strachan.

I was nominated and selected to carry the baton after becoming the 1st Scot to run a marathon and 100km ultra marathon in Antarctica raising £14k for Alzheimer Scotland, and for encouraging people into sport through my achievements and by organising the Loch Katrine Running Festival.

It was a great experience participating in the last day of the relay and enjoying the party atmosphere on the eve of the games opening, and having my sporting and charity achievements recognised.
